Soft finger caps that slip on. They limit heating during long sessions and soften the attack, without eliminating the feeling of contact with the steel.
Whether on a handpan or a tongue drum, a prolonged session eventually heats up the fingertips, and the strike loses precision as sensitivity decreases. The finger protectors cushion this repeated contact and allow you to play longer without your technique degrading.
Useful for intensive practice or during the first few weeks, while your fingers get used to the contact with the steel. They slightly soften the attack: for very nuanced playing, one generally returns to bare hands once accustomed.
Rinse with lukewarm water and air dry. Avoid solvent-based products, which damage the silicone.
Chaque produit bénéficie de la garantie légale de conformité de 2 ans. L'accordage des instruments est contrôlé avant l'envoi.

A handpan is almost never damaged by a single violent impact, but rather by the accumulation of minor neglect.
Sweat is slightly acidic and salty. Left on steel, it initiates oxidation that first attacks the tone fields, where the tuning is set. Wiping it down after each session is enough to prevent this.
This is the instrument's weak point: the junction of the two shells takes all the impact when it is set down or rubs against a wall. An impact at this spot can deform the shell and cause adjacent notes to go out of tune.
Flat, in a padded case. This is the only position that distributes the 3 to 5 kg of the instrument instead of having them borne by the edges.
Steel reacts to the abrupt transition from the cold outdoors to a heated room. Let the instrument reach room temperature in its case before playing.
