These instruments are tuned to a unique scale. This characteristic completely changes how you approach them.
All the notes on a handpan or tongue drum are in harmony with one another, regardless of the order in which they are played. You can therefore improvise from the very first session, without knowing anything.
Our methods are read through hand positions and counted rhythmic patterns. No treble clef, no note names to memorize.
What separates a ringing note from a dull one is the rebound of the finger. The first chapters focus on this movement, before any piece.
The exercises are calibrated to be repeated regularly, with concrete benchmarks to measure your progress.
